Stem Cell Collection Process
01
Maternal Blood Sample Collection
Medical staff collect blood samples using red and purple cap tubes. These samples, along with the collection kit, are securely transported by our dedicated logistics team to the Stem Cell Preservation and Application Center for infectious disease screening.
02
Umbilical Cord Disinfection and Blood Draw
After disinfecting the umbilical cord with iodine and alcohol, medical staff insert a sterile needle into the vein to collect cord blood.
03
Securing the Blood Collection Tube
Once the blood draw is complete, the safety needle is clamped, and two knots are tied on the plastic tube to prevent microbial contamination.
04
Cord Blood Bag Packaging and Delivery
The cord blood bag contains anticoagulant to prevent clotting. After collection, the bag is placed into the designated kit and delivered by our logistics team to the preservation center within 36 hours of birth. Cord blood separation and processing are completed within 48 hours to ensure optimal cell viability.
